The Ottomans were motivated by their faith and adhered to their own set of hygiene regulations. Bathing was regarded as a purifying practice performed prior to prayer. As a result, many modern-day Hammams are located near mosques. Traditional hammams include distinct sections for men and women. Nonetheless, both sexes have similar bathing rituals.
